Cork Simon Community's Vision, Mission, Reach, Values & Aims Vision Our Vision is of a society without homelessness. Mission Together as a Community, Cork Simon acts in solidarity with people who are homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless. The Community reaches out to people who are homeless, providing a range of accommodation and support projects, and campaigns for a society without homelessness. Reach Cork Simon Community speaks out on behalf of all homeless people. Our direct support however focuses on people over 18 years. While our current projects are all in Cork City, we consider that our responsibility also extents to County Cork and adjacent counties. We support and endeavour to influence development for homeless people regionally as well as nationally through the Simon Communities of Ireland. Our emphasis is on providing a range of accommodation and other responses as support to homeless people from the crisis end of need to transitional housing programmes. In regard to permanent independent housing options, we will work in partnership with other housing providers. Commitment to Care The Community responds to the changing needs of people who are homeless by providing a range of empowering and supportive care for as long as people need it.   Values Community Cork Simon is a Community of people who are homeless and people concerned with ending homelessness, which promotes respect, inclusion, empowerment, solidarity and participation. Diversity Members of the Community strive to respect the uniqueness of all people. Collectively we strive to deliver high quality services and projects to address the diverse needs and rights of individual groups. Social Justice & Equality As a Community, we believe in a socially just society. We campaign for the rights of people who are marginalised and disadvantaged through homelessness.
